Signs That eBay May Be Run By Malfunctioning Robots

The following is meant only as a parody.

eBay in their quest to rule the world, thought it prudent to turn all of the decision making processes over to robots rather than trust humans to do their dirty work.

One of the signs that these robots may be malfunctioning is their implementation to ban the sales of any item derived from an ivory bearing animal. That includes the long extinct wooly mammoth and his close cousin the mastodon elephant.

There are no bans or trade restrictions anywhere in the world on mammoth ivory. So it appears that eBay is misguided in their effort to save the mammoth from poaching and extinction!

eBay turned their attack robots on law abiding eBay sellers and shut down there fair trade operations to avoid having to deal with dishonest individuals that might try to pass off African Elephant tusk items. eBay failed to program these robots correctly because the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Forensics Laboratory points out on their website that: "...differentiating between prehistoric mammoth ivory and modern elephant ivory is fairly easy."

Why did eBay not ban the sale of all commonly counterfeited products which the sale of violate Federal & International laws and treaties? Furthermore, the duped buyers are hit in the wallet and eventually decide never to buy goods online. Why not ban Louis Vuitton handbags? Rolex watches? There are more fake Air Jordan Sellers listing their bogus items than there are Sellers listing elephant ivory and passing it off as mammoth ivory or plastic. eBay lost their European lawsuit with Louis Vuitton for $350,000,000. (350 Million). Why and how does eBay still allow the sale of Louis Vuitton? Certainly the human rights issues that are brought front and center by child labor camps of the Orient are as important as the plight of elephants!

The only conclusion one can jump to is that eBay is run by overloaded robots with Windows ME 98 operating system. These robots make the decisions.

These robots are part of the reasons why quality sellers around the globe are jumping the eBay ship and why with the hundreds of eBay sellers we've spoken to, we could never find one with something nice to say about ole' eBay!
